(meteorobs) April 9, 2003 Meteor Observations from California

I spent an enjoyable three hours under the stars this morning. Meteor
activity
was low but consistent throughout the session. Nineteen of the twenty
meteors
seen this morning were sporadic. The only shower member was a +4 antihelion
meteor seen at 3:55 local daylight time. There was no truly notable meteors
seen
during the session. The highlight was probably the -4 iridium flare that
occurred
during the last hour.

which is PDT + 7 hours. The second column gives the percent of that
particular hour actually spent observing the sky. The third column gives the
average limiting magnitude estimated during each period. The last several
columns list the activity seen during each period. I was facing southeast at
an altitude of 60 degrees during the entire session. No breaks were taken.
