(meteorobs) First glance Lyrid report 2003
My good luck that runs back to the Leonids continues with the clear
sky at peak for showers.
Had 2.5 hr.s before moonrise 4-21/22/03
Had 1.5 hr.s before moonrise 4-22/23/03
Activity was present, have not transcribed notes but maybe
9 hr. on the first night at best, less the next night. Shower
was definitely on the decline on 4/22-23 night of observing.
First night had several trained meteors, a -2 was best.
Ant. source of meteors was more active second night.
Some comments will be made on sporadic line-ups seen
on both nights in the full report to follow.
