(meteorobs) Pre-report on May 6th am feeble Eta Aq.s from KS
Not enough time to get the full report in for TUES am.
But - UNBELIEVABLE sums it up, in the bad way.
I fought clouds early but did get a full hr. in, the last full one
before dawn, 4-5AM local Daylight time. (my last report
had UT time off by one hr.) 7 Eta Aquarids, 5 in the FIRST
15 minutes, then ONLY two, mag. +4 and +6 Eta Aq.s in
the final :45 minutes, then NONE in another 10 min. into
the twilight. Only two +2 Eta's this night as well being the
best ones. AND MAX NITE AS WELL!!!
Anthelions took up some of the slack with 3 nice ones
in that same hr.
Full report very soon, but I am suspecting disturbance
in the shower orbit myself this year. Hope some of us
get some ob.s in over the coming weekend to see if activity
picks up. 11 Total Eta Aq.s in 1:30 min. and faint, NO trains
this nite.
