(meteorobs) VANMC 6-7 may 2003 (late Aquarid report)

Hi every one

This is my late Eta Aquarid report from 6-7 may.

This meteor stream is quiet exceptional to observe over our longitude (Belgium).

Mostly we can catch  a glimpse of activity during severe twilight around 6 may.

Also for me, in 13 years of  meteor observing, it was the first experience with those swift meteors from Halley in may. At last !During the upcoming  twilight I observed 2 Eta’s. Also the other eta’s (eta Lyrids) are active around this period.

After this meteor watch, I enjoyed observing the Mercury Transit.

Hey Mr Kern Jones ; I really enjoyed reading your story on the Eta’s ! Once in my life I hope to visit Australia. Perhaps it will be some where around the ETA maximum period….??
