Lew would have more details on this... but it was my understanding that
Dalnet was severely compromised by hackers or some such problems.
For quite a long time, it was impossible for me to connect to Dalnet.
Whether the problems have now been resolved, I don't know. During that long
time period, most of us gave up trying to get through on mirc.
