Re: (meteorobs) Re: Fireball(?), Alma NM USA, 8 June 2003 22:20 MST

Hello,
The estimated time on Nevyn's original sighting was about 25 to 30 minutes
earlier than the actual sighting. My husband (Nevyn) corrected the time to
approximately 22:45 in a follow up message. We are not active in recording
events in the sky, but the event that we witnessed on June 8th was so
spectacular that Nevyn wanted to tell someone. As of this date we still have
not been able to find another person in our area who saw this huge fireball.
Personally, I feel that it was the best birthday present that I have ever
received in my 59 years of life - A very positive 'omen', so to speak.
Jill
