(meteorobs) JBO from Xinglong, China on June 28/29

Hello, everyone,

here is my report for the night of June 28/29. on that night, I monitored for the first three hours, and Jin for the last two. his record is being processed and will be posted soon as well.
A comparison between Jin's report and that of mine for 27/28, which is questioned by Rainer and Bob, should be necessary for any possible problem.

I'd like to add two comments here:

1. On the night of 27/28, some sporadic meteors were from the southeast corner of the sky. this might indicate some meteor acitivity other than JBO on the ecliptic(Aquarius and Capricornus?)
I should point that those meteor increased the number in column of 'sporadic', but not change its order. (As in my mind, perhaps two such meteors in my formal observing period? detailed number should be obtained only if i check my original tape record...) Coincidentally, three such meteors occurred within the first 5 minutes once the weather became clear. And all of them are very bright, i.e. -1, -2 and -4 (see my essay in previous report). I just received a phone call from another group of observers, and got known some other observers in China also notice the these meteors.

2. (especially to Bob) my method of estimating the limiting magnitude was IMO's 'star counting'. I've attached my full original records in my last email. You see, '#14, N=6' meant I saw 6 stars in No.14 area (in Cygnus). the limiting magnitude given in the summary table was an average value for all the estimating countings.

However, I just made a quick examination for the 2nd period of my 28/29 report (below). If we assume the population index of sporadic meteors to be 3, then LM=5.4 means a facter of 3^(6.5-5.4)=3.35. So the sporadic hourly rate was 33*3.35/2.23=50. This rate is still above the order of 10-15.
