(meteorobs) Perseids 2003 well 2002 was still P...



Thanks. But when a meteor shower really puffs out and does not produce any 
notable fireballs or something significant (a Perseid shower should produce at 
least one memorable meteor) it is PUTRID. I like watching meteors as much as 
anyone but I like something to remember.
I would rather have a few bright ones then a lot of lesser magnitude ones. 
Maybe with the moon and Perseids we can all get lucky this year.

PUTRID, in its proper descriptive use and application contextually, may not 
be applied in the context of observing meteors, even though they are, or my be, 
partly oxidized during their incursion into the upper strata of the 
atmosphere.
