(meteorobs) Meteor observations Crete, Greece

Hello fellow meteor observers!
In the period of 20 july to 3 august 2003 I was on vacation on the island of Crete, Greece. I stayed in a small holliday park called Tania Apartments near the (very) small village of Ferma on the southcoast, far from the mass tourism of Crete. From there I was able to monitor the activity of the Perseids, southern and northern delta Aquarids, Capricornids, iota Aquarids, phi cygnids, kappa Cygnids and some Pisces Austrinids during 11 nights.
Here are the results:

In total :
11 nights
45,19 hours
224 Perseids,
445 delta Aquarids n/s
5 iota Aquarids
79 Capricornids
6 phi cygnids
17 kappa Cygnids
11 Pisces austrinids
588 sporadic meteors
Total : 1372 meteors (amongst them 6 fireballs)

Some remarks:

Perseids
Activity slightly rise up from 3 to 12 meteors/hour. A bright -3 was seen on 3 august.

delta Aquaris north
During whole period rising activity (1 to 5 an hour). Brightest meteor : -1.

delta Aquarids south
Rising activity till 30 july (from 5 to 20 an hour), then a decline in activity (11 an hour on 3 august). Special attention on 29 july between 23:40 and 00:55 UT. During teff 1.20 hour I counted 36 delta Aquarids! This is to much for normal activity. I don't know what happened here. Sky was cristal clear that night and rates before and after this period were normal (14 and 17 an hour). I noticed this high activity immediately in the field and also the decline after this period. I will examine this data carefully the coming days.
A fine -6 Aquarid was seen on 31 july.

iota Aquarids
At the end of this period some iota's were seen.

Capricornids
At first nice activity, up to 6 an hour. But after 28/29 july low activity. some nice fireballs seen.

This observations will be sent to NAMS, IMO and DMS.
Best wishes,
Koen
