(meteorobs) August 01/02, 2003 meteor observation (attempt) from Slovenia

Hi All,

I finally managed to observe again on Friday night. I was at our youngest
observer's house, also close to my home. The weather looked promising with
very clear skies in the evening. Unfortunately, minutes after we set up,
the clouds started to form in the south. Thus we were forced to face
towards the north and it was impossible to distinguish the members of the
Aquarid complex. At times clouds would reach up to zenith and again move
away but we could still observe. Unfortunately, less than one hour after
we started the skies became completely overcast so we were forced to quit.
Best meteor of the night was a yellow-orange -3 magnitude Alpha
Capricornid seen while we were preparing our meteor gear.

Clear skies!
Javor
