(meteorobs) August 08/09, 2003 meteor observation from Slovenia

Friday night was clear so I observed again with Jaka Dobaj from his home.
We started at 00h51m local time with the Moon about 7 degrees above the
horizon. I was facing ESE throughout my observations.
In 2.45 hours teff I recorded 24 Perseids, 9 Aquarids and 12 sporadic
meteors. No meteors were seen from either the Alpha Capricornid or Kappa
Cygnid radiants. The highlight of the night was without a doubt a
beautiful Perseid fireball. This magnitude -6 meteor started about halfway
between Eta Pegasi and 1 Lacertae and ended in Delphinus, covering some 30
degrees. Its persistant train lasted for 8 seconds.

Clear skies!
Javor.
