(meteorobs) Observations 21-28/08/2003
Hello,
Below are automatically generated visual summaries of 7 nights between 21
and 28 august, observed from France (Auvergne). The weather was not
perfect, but good enough to see about 253 meteors in a total effective time
of +- 24 hours. Lm varied between 5 and 6. There were 228 sporadics, 8 PER,
4 KCG, 3 NDA, 5 NIA and 5 AUR. The majority of meteors were plotted. All
times in UT.
According to the IMO working list, alpha-Aurigids are only active from
August 25th... but since 2 sure members of this shower were seen before
this date, I reported this shower on the forms a bit earlier... Tho I guess
I shouldn't do that, and simply count them as sporadics? Comments are welcome.
A few of my co-observers gathered a similar amount of data... So you could
say we've been pretty productive :-)
