(meteorobs) [FLASH] Draconids by worldwide radio observation

Hello all,

-------------------------------------------------------
The International Project for Radio Meteor Observation
FLASH of 2003 Draconids - First Announcement -
               (2003.Oct.07 22:30UT)
-------------------------------------------------------

Since the possibility of outburst of 2003 Draconids was
predicted, we monitored this activity and are monitoring
now. I announce the FLASH of this meteor shower.

I received some FLASH reports as following.

Toshihide MIYAKE (Japan), Masayoshi UEDA (Japan),
Yasuhiro YOSHIKAWA (Japan), Dirk Artoos (Belgium),
Valter Gennao(Italy), Dave Swan (UK)

From these reports, there were no-outburst in Japan. On
the other hand, some observers caught the increase of
meteor echoes since 6th(UT) night. Therefore, outburst
might occer. But this is not sure. This is because I
do not have enough data now. Members of this project will
report their observed data since now. So, I will annnounce
the second flash around 12h(UT, 8th).

Therefore, we can say "In Japan, there was no outburst in
this morning. On the other hand, in other country, the
small increase was observed. Therefore, we can say this
increase may be the possibility of outburst."

I will announce again. And you can see the Radio Live
on the following web. This LIVE is provided by some
Japanese stations, Jure ZAKRAJSEK(Slovenia), Dave Swan
(Italy) and Jeff Brower(USA).
