(meteorobs) obs.week 2003.10.20-26

My greetings,
Autumn is known not to be the most favorable time for observations. But things that happened last week are beyond any comments. First, I failed to observe Orionids maximus because of continual clouds during Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday in the afternoon the sky cleared and I hoped to make observation. And I started it at 18.00 UT. I planned to watch Orionids for three hours but finished at 18.25 UT because the sky had been covered with the clouds. On Friday it was also impossible to observe. The next day it was very clear and tranparent sky. After getting dark at about 15.00 UT (local 22.00) l.m seemed to be 6.0. And after such a day I began observations at 18.00 and it lasted 10 minutes instead of planned 1 hour. The reason is the same - clouds. So all I see were 3 meteors during the first observatios. Tho of them are orionids and the third one is s.taurid.
