(meteorobs) LEO rates >15 OHR East Georgia 11-19/20-03
I have just finished two hours of
observations, glad to report the Leonids are still showing signs of
life.
I logged 18 LEO's the first period (7:47 - 8:47 UT)
and 14 during the second period (8:47 - 9:47 UT) under crystal clear skies, LM
probably right at +6.5 during the first period.
Sporadic/non-leo rates were very strong also, probably had 33 or
more during the two hours, for a total of about 65 or so meteors during the
session, slightly better than the Orionids The only fireball (-3) was
a sporadic. It seemed that almost all the Leonids left
trains.
I should have my full report ready later this
evening.
