(meteorobs) Late Geminids observations from Nevada

Very nice and clear weather out here in the desert prompted me to go to my favorite semi-dark observing site near Las Vegas to try and catch some very late remaining Geminids and also look out for any early Ursids. The site is quite convenient, just a little over a half hour from the vegas strip, and reasonably dark for the proximity. LM~6.0 if I look away from the light dome.

However, with just my traveling clothes I was a little unprepared for the nighttime desert conditions at altitude, plus a lack of much activity, so I cut my session short to just 30 minutes.

Only 6 meteors were seen. One nice 0 mag Geminid and a mag 2 Hydrid were the only interesting species, with a couple of SPO and ANT rounding out the slow session. No Ursids yet.
