 Could have been a rocket debris reentering the Earth's atmosphere.
Send an email to SeeSat-L@satobs.org  with your latitude, longitude, height
above sea level, the time, date and any other information. They are a satelliet
observers group and could possibly help you in determining if it really was
a rocket re-entry.
