(meteorobs) Observation December 24/25, 2003 from Slovenia

Hi All,

I observed again on Wednesday night. It was a bit colder than the
night before at -11 C but there was no wind so it was quite
comfortable.

The activity started slow with only 4 meteors recorded during the
first hour. Second hour was much better with 12 meteors seen.
Most notable were two sporadic meteors at 2252 UT that appeared
in Lynx within 2 seconds of each other. Meteors were faint during
these two hours with two sporadic magnitude +2 meteors being
brightest.

I then made a 20-minute break to have a tea and resumed at 02
AM local time. Meteors remained active until the end of
observations - 26 were seen in 100 minutes Teff, among them one
Ursid and five Coma Berenicids. Best meteor of the night was a
magnitude -2 sporadic (southern apex) meteor that covered 30
degrees from Cancer through much of the Gemini to Auriga.

Clear skies!
Javor
