(meteorobs) obs.period.2004.04.05-08

My greetings
The next observation. Weather conditions were not bad. The observation was done just before the Moon rise, so due to quite
good sky transparency lm was 5.2. However, meteor activity was very quiet. I saw only five meteors during two hours. So let
me tell some details about them. The first meteor appeared in the
zenith only on the 39th minute from the start of observation . It was fast, dim and very short.
The second one had yellow color. It was slow, but bright, fliing from
the south-east. The third meteor is quite interesting.
It was also not fast, very dim, and it had two peaks of brightness.
The first time its brightness was appr. 4.5, then it disappeared for a
half-second,
and then appeared again and reached 4.0 mg. I think, it could be a grazer. Then there was no meteors during long time. However,
on the last minutes of observation two shooting stars appeared. The first of them was fast, short and quite brignt. In contrast,
the second became such a slow one that at first I didn't take it as a meteor. It was bright, but its appearance was very
similar to an Iridium flare. However Iridium is visible during several seconds after flare maximum. In my case it went to
nowhere during a second.
And the final remark. The third mereor could be counted as a virginid,
but it appeared very far from the radiant. So I wrote all five meteors
as sporadics.
