(meteorobs) Lyrid observations April 21/22, 2004 from Slovenia

Hi All,

MBK Team members took advantage of the first clear night here since a long
time. Jure A and I set up to observe the Lyrids while Jure Z and Matej set
up the telescope to be used for comet observation later in the morning.

The decision to observe the meteors was a good one. We were rewarded with
a great show from the Lyrids. In just over one and a half hour under nice
dark skies I counted 29 Lyrids and 49 meteors in total. The Lyrids were
bright, too. No less than seven negative-magnitude Lyrids were seen.
This was the best show I have seen from the Lyrids so far.

Although I slept only two hours last night (morning) I plan to observe
again tonight to see if a similar level of activity persists.

Clear skies!
Javor
