Re: (IAAC) Pegasus I (Galaxy Cluster)



Lew, Steve, and others -

Just to avoid any possible future confusion, it's worth noting that
there are TWO "Pegasus I" objects in Pegasus.  The one is the galaxy
cluster (sometimes also apparently known as the just plain "Pegasus
galaxy cluster"), and the other is the Pegasus dwarf irregular galaxy.
The latter is also known as UGC 12613, at (2000.0) 23 28 34 +14 44.8.
This is a faint (V=13.2) extended galaxy which is visible in larger
amateur telescopes.  It is plotted on Uranometria 2000.0 chart 214.
