Todd (and perhaps others who've been quiet up till now?) will surely provide 
you with some good suggestions, Nick. But in my limited experience, the most 
important thing with Digital Setting Circles is calibration. Which star did you 
use to calibrate your DSCs? Also, pointing errors in the SkyVector's algorithm 
depend on your distance from the calibration points. The relationship is not a 
trivial one, but in general, when pointing in a new quadrant of the sky, you 
will probably want to recalibrate on a new star first.
