Thanks for the observation of NGC 1981. This is one of my favorites, as I
noticed it right away when I started observing Orion.  It was also one of
the first objects that I found first and identified after viewing :)  I
always make a pit-stop to it whenever I telescopically view Orion.  In the
scope, it's a "poor" cluster without any nebulosity.  Did not know that it
actually makes up a "star" in the sword though!  Neat!
