There is a comparison star chart available for this supernova and 1198S at
the AAVSO web site at
http://www.aavso.org
Having used it there is currently good a range of comparison stars for the
supernova so it was quite easy even for a novice variable observer like me
to get a reasonable magnitude estimate.
