(IAAC) Znamya mission foilded - astronomy saved!

It seems that astronomers can now breathe again, for the Znamya space
mirror project which was set to 'light up' the northern hemisphere
during winter months and night time has apparantly run out of money.
This has to be great news for us all!

Incidently, did anyone write to the professor in charge of the project,
expressing concern. I tried a few times but didn't get an answer once.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who got a response.

Clear, dark skies,
Paul.
