Thanks for a great log of this beautiful object, Penny. And you
saw the annularity in it - isn't that pretty! The color in the
center of the Snowball is almost a paler, more delicate blue than
the color of the outer "ring".

By the way if you like the Blue Snowball, check out the smaller, slightly
fainter but just as intensely colored planetary NGC 6572 in Oph! I saw this
one Saturday night during a run of "SAC Best of the NGC" objects. It had the
EXACT same color with an OIII filter as it did without - rather eery. :)
