Re: (IAAC) color preception and culture
I am remembering an article in some science magazine that said that
cultures have differing number of words to describe colors, but that the
colors described always followed the same order, that is, the first word
devised by the culture is for the color red, and if there is a second
word only, it would be for all other colors. I cannot remember if green
or blue is the next color that becomes explicitly defined...
