Well, much as I enjoy a good etymology debate (I do?!), this is a little
off-topic for our little visual deep-sky list: you might consider moving
it to a more open-ended, high-volume mailing list like amastro or ASTRO?
But please DON'T pursue this thread any further via our forum!
