Re: (IAAC) correction (was Edwin Hubble, Ph.D. : the @stro object for the week of 04/10/2000)
Bob you are correct. It was Dr. Hubble working with the red shift and he
correctly figured the distances. Hence, we now know that M31 is a galaxy and
not a planetary nebula as earlier astronomers had stated.
