Hi,
   I guess I am also old fashioned as well.  I prefer the
Uranometria atlas, supplemented by a few detailed
charts prepared by a desktop PC printed on paper with
the help of software such as Cartes du Ciel.
http://www.stargazing.net/astropc/index.html  With one
million galaxies available for this program it is unlikely that
I will run out of objects to look for anytime soon.
