Re: (IAAC) Obj: IC418 (PK215-24.1) - Inst: 30CM, f:10 SCT; LX200



Hi Jim and Lewis I have observed this Planetary on a number occasions over
the last couple of years with a 20cm SCT and a 40cm truss Dobsonion and in
all the observations of this object have had strong red colouring. The
higher power the eyepiece the more the colour is pronounced. As was
mentioned the O-111filter does nothing for this great object Which loves
magnification. This Planetary is nearly overhead in the summer months down
here in Queensland Australia and is one of my favourite observing objects. I
