Description:
Even in binoculars, this oldest of bright open clusters
was a lovely patchy bright "blur". I could resolve at
least 4 stars in good seeing, with intermittent hints
of 2-3 more. The unresolved background haze showed some
obvious "lobes" to the E and SW of the cluster's center.
