Object: M13, Hercules Cluster
Although the moon was on the other side of the sky, it was nearly full. The
importance of this observation, is that even with a limiting magnitude of
around 4, large scopes, can greatly resolve Globulars.
At 175X Completely resolved except the background core, even in moonlit
skies. Unlike in smaller apertures, I immediately noted a flattened side on
M13, keeping it from being symetrical, almost as if someone stepped on it.
In this vicinity, two projections of stars seemingly radiate outward like
pigtails. At least that is the impression it gives based on the grouping.
Also resolved at 95x, only partially any lower.
