Description:
Seen as a small and pretty faint glimmer at this height
in the sky, M12 was found from Lambda Oph S of a pretty
"pendulum" or "sextant" shape of mag 6 stars, amidst a
faint rhombus of mag 7 stars slanting E. The glimmer of
M12 appeared near the center of this dim quadrilateral,
but showed no hint of detail or a brighter core.
