Description:
This brightish dustmote some 100,000 light years distant was an
intriguing sight at high power in the 20". No individual stars
could be seen at 70x or even 210x. At 420x a few stars could be
resolved at the edges, especially SW of the featureless core.
Finally at 640x in the steady, cirrus-y night air, the edges all
the way round the core broke into tens of tiny stars, and a hint
of resolution was apparent within the inner 1' of the core. Int-
erestingly, the core seemed to resolve better with averted vision
than direct, which says that this object may be tough to resolve as
much for the faintness of its stars as for its tight concentration.
