Description:
Bright, pretty large, elongated 2X1 in PA 135, irregular shape, 10th mag
star at North end of nebulosity, a bright non-stellar spot at the South
end of the nebula. Both brightenings are about 9th mag. There are
several other pretty faint stars involved within the nebula. The UHC
filter does NOT help--actually makes the nebula less contrasty. If we
are giving out names, this one is the "Peanut nebula", it has exactly
the shape of two peanuts in their shell.
