Description:
In the 11X80 finder this galaxy is just seen with averted vision. At 100X
in the 13" it is pretty bright, pretty large, elongated 1.5X1 PA 30, gradually
brighter in the middle and somewhat mottled. Averted vision makes it grow
in size. Going to 150X shows that the core is also enlongated in the same
PA as the main galaxy. The core has pretty high surface brightness.
At higher power the mottling seen at low power is not seen, it may be from
6 to 8 stars involved across the face of the galaxy, these faint stars are
noticed at 150X.
