Description: 10 bright stars (mag.6-7) and 15 fainter are scattered quite
homogeneously in a diam.1.5° area; the straight alignment of the coathanger
contains 6 stars aligned E-W and a hook of 4 stars are leaving towards the
S and curving to the W.

I can provide a scanned drawing of Collinder 399 to anyone who can read the
binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try
(ypothier@abi.snv.jussieu.fr), it works sometimes with other
configurations...
