Description: nice cluster at 87x, bright and large, estimated diameter of
about 10' for the central part, but extended edges can be followed until
19'... because of no well definite end; about 30 stars of mag.7 and
fainter: 1 of mag7, one of mag8, 5 of mag9, 10 of mag11 and 10 of mag12-13;
scattered and not very well detached; estimated trumpler type of III-IV2p
(I sometime try to find the trumpler type without knowing it in advance,
sometimes right, sometimes wrong...). The cluster's coordinates seem to far
north (a 10' correction to the south should be applied to find the exact
position, according to Guide data and my own drawing).
I can provide a scanned drawing of Stock 5 to anyone who can read the
binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try
(ypothier@abi.snv.jussieu.fr), it works sometimes with other
configurations...
