Description:
With a 38mm Giant Erfle eyepiece the 6" f/6 gives about 25X and a nearly
two degree field of view. At that power Stock 1 is large, bright, little
compressed and pretty rich. I counted 28 stars resolved and the cluster
is about one third the field of view. Moving to a 22mm Panoptic resolved
59 stars with several nice pairs and a chain of 8th and 9th mag stars
in the center, it appears on Uraonometria. Even with the 10X 50 binoculars
there are 10 stars resolved and appears very much like a cluster, a
bright fuzzy spot in the Milky Way.
