Object: Abell 43 (PK 36+17 1; PN G036.0+17.6)
Category: Planetary Nebula
Constellation: OPH
Object data: Vmag=3D14.6; dim.86"x73"; type IIc; central * of Vmag=3D14.7;
discovered by Abell in 1955.
RA/DE: 17h53.6m, +10=B037' (2000); Uranometria 203

Description: at 211x and UHC, medium sized PN, extremely faint even with
filter; round, homogeneous with ill-defined edges; estimated diamter of
65"; central star of mag15 with 2 other mag15 star on S and ENE edges; UHC
and OIII are giving a quite small contrast gain and Hbeta switches the
nebula off; a mag11 star is at 3.5'NW.

binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try

configurations...
