Description:
A nice galaxy with a bright core. The core is distinct and diffuse outward
into the very elongated and diffuse main body of the galaxy. there was no
obvious structure apart from a doubtful suggestion of some dark lanes
paraleel to the axis. The DSS photograph, viewd long after, does not show
any dark lanes but seems to show at least some shading near the core.
