Constellation: CYG
Object data: Vmag=8912; dim.19"x7"; central * CRL 2688 (V1610 Cyg,
Bmag=3D5.8-6.3?) of Vmag=3D12.25;
RA/DE: 21h02.30m, +36=B042.0' (2000); Uranometria 121, Sky Atlas 9

Description: small and bright nebulosity like a fuzzy star at 145x; OIII
and UHC filters are of no use; at 312x, it looks like a double star
(mag11.5+13.0 at about 5"SSW) embedded in a fuzzy glow; estimated
dimensions of 10"x5" in a NNE-SSW axis; a mag12 star is at 30"W and a
mag8.5 star is at 75"W (SAO 70809).

I can provide a scanned drawing of Egg Nebula to anyone who can read the
binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try
(ypothier@abi.snv.jussieu.fr), it works sometimes with other
configurations...
