Description:
Markarian 205 is one of the few quasars that are visible in amateur telescopes 
and is also one of the brightest. This quasi-stellar object lies just south of 
the elliptical galaxy NGC 4219 (see page 76 of the March 1999 Astronomy) and 
appeared as a dim star using averted vision.
