Description:
At 98X easily found pair of galaxies, but both quite featureless. M86 is larger
but fainter than M84 and also more elongated, with M84 appearing round.

A faint 'star' between the two galaxies might be identified with NGC 4387 but
none of the other nearby faint galaxies were positively seen.
