Description:
ESO452sc11 is a very faint cluster that appears to be superimposed
over a grouping of 14-15th magnitude stars. No central condensation
was visible and due to its faint surface brightness, the overall
size of the cluster is difficult to estimate. I would say though
that it is about 1' across. A 14th magnitude star is positioned on
the northern edge of the cluster. The cluster was located using a
Mega Star chart to locate the correct area. Using the 14" aperture
mask I was still able to observe the cluster easily but it was a
difficult object for the 12" scope.
