Description:
Using Doug Snyders excellent finder charts for pease 1 from his great
planetary neb homepage, my observing partner (Attilla Danko) and
myself decided to try for Pease 1 in M15 again. We had tried for this
elusive planetary before unsuccesfully but this time we had the aid of
a sliding filter bar to blink the OIII filter. After about 15 minutes
of blinking and staring at the "right" area about 25" from the core of
M15 we both confirmed that we saw a "star" remain when the OIII filter
slid into position. I think the combination of the right equipment,
good seeing and plenty of aperture made the sighting possible.

Pretty fun getting this little planetary considering it is one of only
3-4 known to exist in globular clusters!
