Description:
IC2501 appears as a 12th magnitude star at lower powers. Higher power reveals
a planetary of about 5" diameter with a high surface brightness. This high
brightness allows the planetary to show a pale aqua colour at 150x. The colour
appears to intensify with direct vision, but the brightness drops dramaticly.
No central star was noted even though it is stated to be 14.48 magnitude.
No filter was used on this planetary, I will have to return to it.
