Description:
Tombaugh 5 is a somewhat detached, moderately rich open cluster containing stars
which vary moderately in brightness. It is approximately 17' in size and is
composed of about 60 stars. I came across Tombaugh 5 serendipitously while
observing speedy Comet Lee, which was just to north of the cluster at the time.
Such chance encounters make amateur astronomy all the more interesting.
