Personal "rating": A-
Wow! Finally a great view of a great object. Saw the following,
utilizing high power which closely matched previous CCD experiences...
Bluish and very prominent.. but clearly well defined round shape with
embedded triangle, and bright central star. Underneath one side of the
triangle, a dark lane formed a "smile".. making the nickname "clown-face"
nebula seem appropriate with it's big nose (central star) and "smile".
Smile best seen at highest power.
Such great contrast to the background sky with plenty of nearby stars makes
this one of the better sights in the sky through this scope in these
sky conditions.
